Dear Church Members, Visitors and Guests,
Today, March 19th, Governor Greg Abbott announced a statewide emergency as a necessary step toward containing the spread of the COVID-19, or Corona, Virus. This action prohibits large gatherings of 11 or more in the state of Texas. In response, Martin Luther/Church on Main will move our worship to online only until the decree is lifted.
What this means is that we want you to be safe, and calm, and worshipful in your home on Sunday mornings. If you have the internet, you can visit the church’s Facebook page. There you will find Sunday morning worship. We will read the lessons, hear the message, and pray together. We expect to have the service online for later viewing, should you miss the service live.
Please rest assured that we will make it through this crisis, and the disease will be contained and conquered. But more than making it through, it is important that you stay united if faith. The name of Jesus is strong medicine. Our worship is that which supports the work of researcher and physician. You have an important role to play in this disease’ defeat, and that role is faith, worship, prayer, and love.
We at MLLC love you. Though apart for a short while, you are not alone.
See you Sunday!
John Waak, Senior Pastor
