Is Skepticism… Silly?

We’ve been discussing spiritual self-defense all semester, honing in on the reasons which support our Faith. After watching this video, discuss how it fits into what we’ve covered the past few weeks…

Camp Eagle involves hiking and having bible studies out on the trail. We all got back from it this year and had 2 thoughts:

  • Man are we outta shape! and
  • Why can’t we hike and have bible studies like that all year long?

So every month we’re gonna try and do a Hike+Bible experience.

First one’s at McKinney Roughs. Saturday, September 21, 8:30 – 12:00.

Ground Rules

  • Youth must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Show up with appropriate gear (shoes, clothing, sunscreen, waters bottles, etc.)
  • Bring yer bible study gear (small bible, notebook),
  • It costs $5 entry fee to get into the park.

Acts 17 Apologetics

Many congregation members have voiced an interest in learning more about apologetics. On September 7th, take advantage of the opportunity to hear a leading apologist who’ll be speaking near Sugar Land (SW Houston).

Christian apologist Dr. David Wood, a former atheist and now founder of Acts 17 Apologetics. Dr. Wood was best friends with the late Nabeel Qureshi and led him to Christ years ago. He is perhaps the most watched apologist on YouTube today, and for good reason: his videos are entertaining, informative, short, and daring!

Dr. Wood will be sharing his powerful testimony on Saturday morning, September 7th at 10:00 a.m. and at 7:00 p.m. he will provide a study of Islam and how Christian apologetics can help a believer witness to Muslims, (and on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. he will give a special sermon. But we’re aiming to attend just the Saturday sessions).

Meet at Church at 7 if you need a ride. Otherwise meet at International Bible Church, 12955 Stafford Road, Stafford, TX-77477 by 10:20 (it’s ~90 minutes away)
